We transform English-speaking, low-literate adults, who live in Salt Lake or Davis Counties in Utah, into skilled, passionate, habitual, critical readers, writers, and mathematicians. We also educate community volunteers to work one-on-one or in group settings with these adult learners. For more information, see www.LiteracyActionCenter.org. Teaching my son to read By Mychele
I’m working on trying to teach my son how to read. He can distinguish the words the, a, end. He understands things really well I am very proud of him and hope he continues learning at a fast pace. I have been learning to be patient with people at Literacy Action Center and it helps me when I am working with my son.
