We transform English-speaking, low-literate adults, who live in Salt Lake or Davis Counties in Utah, into skilled, passionate, habitual, critical readers, writers, and mathematicians. We also educate community volunteers to work one-on-one or in group settings with these adult learners. For more information, see www.LiteracyActionCenter.org. Amazing Grandpa by guest blogger Marina
Grandfather Piya (L) and my father in 2010 in Sudan
My grandpa passed away on May 30, 2015. It's hard to lose a person that has always been there for you. I remember him because he helped my mother when my father was in the army. I loved him for everything he did for us. I give thanks to my grandpa Piya. I still see his smile today as I forgive God for taking him away from me. Grandpa had no bad story. When his wife passed away, he didn't get married again. All he did was just take care of us.
Do you feel the same when you lose your loved one?
