CDBG Salt Lake City, Utah

Funding is important to all charities. Literacy Action Center is no exception.

Bill and Deb addressed Mayor Becker and the Salt Lake City Council members in the CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) open hearing held during tonight's regular council meeting. Many local organizations were there, requesting funding for each of their programs.

Bill talked about the changes that have occurred in his life and his literacy levels. He spoke briefly about his accomplishments in the past eight months.

The city council now has a lot of work to do to decide which programs they want to support with the federal monies that will give the most benefit to our community. We wish the Council well as they make difficult decisions.
